LAKEWOOD, NJ - The BlueClaws, the Asbury Park Press, and APP.com have again partnered on Asbury Park Press Dollar Weekend this year, with all BlueClaws reserve seating and general admission tickets just $1 for games on Friday, April 14th and both ends of the double-header on Saturday, April 15th thanks to the Asbury Park Press & APP.com.
The promotion originated as a way for the BlueClaws and the Asbury Park Press to give back to area families, and because of the success of Asbury Park Press Dollar Days over the last several seasons, the APP graciously offered to bring the program back again this year.
"Spring is weeks away and with that of course means another great summer of BlueClaws baseball," said Tom Donovan, President & Publisher of the Asbury Park Press. "We are very pleased to be able to offer Dollar Weekend again with the BlueClaws. I encourage everyone to come out to the ballpark, relax and enjoy the great atmosphere at a BlueClaws baseball game."
Ticket Information - Tickets to Asbury Park Press Dollar Weekend will go on sale at the team's FanFest on Saturday, March 18th from 10 am - 2 pm at FirstEnergy Park, along with tickets to all 70 BlueClaws home games in 2017. The day includes additional fun such as inflatable rides, games, and entertainment. There will be Irish music for St. Patrick's Day and each attendee will receive a free hot dog, bag of chips, and soda.
Friday, April 14th (7:05 pm) - The first of 14 BlueClaws Post-Game Fireworks shows this year will follow this game, the lone chance fans have to see a ballgame and post-game fireworks for just $1!
Saturday, April 15th (1:05 pm AND 7:05 pm) - Tickets for each of these games will also be just $1 and include Easter Eggs hidden around the ballpark with an appearance by the Easter Bunny at the 1:05 pm game. Each game will be seven innings, and a separate ticket is required for admission to each game. After game one, the ballpark will be cleared and the gates will re-open at 6:00 pm for game two.
The BlueClaws will be off on Sunday, April 16th.
"We're grateful to the Asbury Park Press and APP.com for their support of our Dollar Days again this year," said Chris Tafrow, BlueClaws General Manager. "Our goal is always affordable, family entertainment and these Dollar Days are a continued extension of that goal. We can't wait to see everyone at the ballpark."
The BlueClaws are the Jersey Shore's top stop for affordable, family entertainment. They have led the South Atlantic League and New Jersey in attendance in all 16 years of existence.
