Lakewood trailed 3-0 after one inning but got one in the sixth and three in the eighth. The BlueClaws (7-7) are now 3-1 against the Shorebirds (11-3) this year, while Delmarva is 10-0 against everyone but Lakewood.
After Travis Seabrook threw a scoreless seventh, the BlueClaws plated three in the eighth to take the lead. With two-on,
Delmarva got five of their first six hitters on base against
Stewart, who did not allow an earned run in his first two starts, did not allow a run from there, getting through the fifth inning while keeping the score 3-0.
Ortiz and Scheiner each had two hits for the BlueClaws.
The BlueClaws improved to 4-4 in one-run games and have played eight one-run games in their first 14 played this year.
