LECOM Park in Bradenton, Florida, is revered as one of American baseball’s most historic treasures. Originally opened in 1923 as City Park (and long known as McKechnie Field), it stands as the second-oldest active venue in Minor League Baseball and the third-oldest ballpark used by Major League teams, trailing only Fenway Park and Wrigley Field. The stadium has served as the Spring Training home of the Pittsburgh Pirates since 1969—marking one of the longest continuous spring partnerships in Florida’s Grapefruit League—and hosts the Single-A Bradenton Marauders.
Despite its deep vintage charm, LECOM Park offers a vibrant, modern fan experience thanks to major modernizations. Renowned for its iconic Spanish-style architectural façade, the 8,500-capacity venue features modern stadium seating, light towers, covered party decks, and a 360-degree outfield boardwalk that lets fans stroll the entire perimeter of the field. Frequently voted among the best Spring Training and MiLB ballparks in the nation, LECOM Park seamlessly bridges baseball’s rich golden era with high-end, modern spectator comfort.
Parking at LECOM Park is convenient and straightforward, with designated lots located directly adjacent to the stadium. Pricing varies based on the day of the week, offering free options earlier in the week and low-cost rates for weekend games. For Sunday – Wednesday games, parking is FREE in all designated lots (Home Plate Lot, 6th Street West Lot, and 6th Street East Lot). For Thursday – Saturday games, the Home Plate Lot is $10 per vehicle and the 6th Street East & West Lots are $5 per vehicle.
