Jauregui Notches Three-Hit Night, Marauders Fall 4-2

BRADENTON, Fla. – Cristian Jauregui drove in a run and notched three hits, but the Bradenton Marauders (21-35, 52-69) fell to the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels (67-55, 30-27) 4-2 on Thursday from Hammond Stadium. After Fort Myers went up 2-0 in the bottom of the second, Bradenton responded in the top of the third. King Jr. doubled and came around to score on a single by Jack Scanlon, cutting the deficit to 2-1.
The Mighty Mussels put together two more runs in the bottom of the third, but the Marauders answered back in the top of the sixth. Antonio Pimentel singled and was plated on a double from Jauregui to make it a 4-2 ballgame.
Bradenton was silenced in the ninth, finalizing a 4-2 win for Fort Myers.
The Marauders and Mighty Mussels play game five of a six-game series on Friday with first pitch set for 7:05 p.m.
