More game worn road jerseys on sale!

Bid on jerseys worn by Bourjos, Pettit and Chatwood!

Cedar Rapids, IA - Three more game worn Kernels road jerseys are on sale now through the Kernels Ebay Store. These jerseys were worn by Peter Bourjos, Chris Pettit and Tyler Chatwood when they played here in Cedar Rapids.

Peter Bourjos played for the Kernels in 2007 and made his MLB debut on August 3, 2010 against the Baltimore Orioles. He played 51 games for the Angels this year, batting .204 with 6 HR and 15 RBI. In 51 games for the Kernels in 2007, he hit .274 with five HR and 29 RBI. Bourjos began the 2010 season with Triple-A Salt Lake, hitting .314 with 13 HR and 52 RBI in 102 games. Chris Pettit was selected by the Angels in the 19th round of the 2006 Free Agent Draft. He played 64 games for the Kernels in 2007, batting .346 with 9 HR and 41 RBI and was named to the MWL Western Division All-Star Team. He finished 2007 at Rancho Cucamonga where he hit .309 with 9 HR and 54 RBI in 69 games. He was also named the Topps MWL Player of the Month for April/May in 2007. He made his MLB debut on September 11, 2009, playing 10 games for the Angels, but missed all of 2010 due to injury. Click here to bid on Pettit's #17 jersey.

Tyler Chatwood was selected by the Angels in the second round of the 2008 Free Agent Draft and pitched for the Kernels in 2009. In 24 starts, he posted an 8-7 record and 4.02 ERA, allowing 99 hits and 60 runs (52 earned) in 116.1 IP. Tyler was named as a reserve to the 2009 MWL Western Division All-Star Team. He was invited to 2010 Major League Spring Training as a non-roster player and began the 2010 season at Rancho Cucamonga, where he posted an 8-3 record and 1.77 ERA in 13 games. He made 12 starts at double-A Arkansas (4-6, 3.82 ERA) and made one start at Salt Lake on September 3, going 5.2 innings for the win. Click here to bid on Chatwood's #33 jersey.

The Kernels Bimm Ridder Diamond Shop is open for the holidays with store hours 10 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, and 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday. The store will be open through Thursday, December 23. The store will also be open from 10 am to 2 pm on Christmas Eve, Friday, December 24.
