Kernels announce Twins Caravan & Kernels Championship Celebration

Cedar Rapids, IA – The Cedar Rapids Kernels in conjunction with the Minnesota Twins announce the return of the Twins Caravan to Cedar Rapids. The Twins Caravan is presented by Case IH.

The Twins Caravan and Kernels Championship Celebration will be held Tuesday, January 23^rd at the Annex from 5:30-8:30pm. The Annex is the Kernels NEW batting cage facility adjacent to Veterans Memorial Stadium, off Rockford Road. Tickets for this event are $30 each and go on sale Friday, December 8^th at 10:00am.

“What a year to have the Caravan return to Cedar Rapids” says Kernels GM Scott Wilson. “After such a tremendous season and culminating in the championship for the Kernels, it is an honor to host the caravan for Twins and Baseball fans alike.”

The Twins Caravan and Kernels Championship Celebration will include appearances from Twins players Willi Castro and Caleb Thielbar, Kernels 2024 Manager, Brian Dinkelman and former Twin, Dan Gladden will MC the event.

Andrew Halverson, Minnesota Twins Director of Broadcasting states “The Twins Winter Caravan is a unique, fun way to engage with our fans in the communities where they live, work and play. This coming January, we are especially thrilled to visit Cedar Rapids – a city that has played a key role in the development of so many Twins stars past, present and future – and join this respected baseball community in celebrating the Kernels’ historic Midwest League championship!”

Included with your ticket are heavy hors d’oeuvres, remarks and question and answer from the Twins players and Brian Dinkelman, an autograph from each caravan guest and a cash bar will be available. Tickets will be limited to the first 200 people and all ages are welcome.

Brian Dinkelman says “I’m excited for the Caravan to come through Cedar Rapids once again. It’s a great chance for fans to see some of the current Twins players and it means we are getting closer to baseball season!”

The Kernels full 2024 promotional schedule with theme nights and daily specials will be released at a later date.
