Dayton, Ohio—Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 8:30 AM, the Children's Brain Tumor Foundation (CBTF) is hosting the CBTF Family Walk to End Brain Tumors at Day Air Ballpark, 220 N. Patterson Blvd, Dayton, Ohio 45402. In addition to the two-mile walk, CBTF will celebrate local families’ courage, strength and leadership during brutal brain tumor battles and honor several members of our community for their commitment to brain tumor survivors and families. All to raise funds and create awareness about childhood brain tumors.

"There are over 4,600 children newly diagnosed with a brain tumor yearly, and we feel the impact in Dayton. The Walk will help us to create much needed awareness while raising funds to support local family programs. Dayton Children's Hospital is building a stellar neuro-oncology program, and we want to make sure the families are supported when they are not in the hospital, too. Our goal is to ensure no family goes through this journey alone while we support work to find a cure," says CBTF’s President, Stacia Wagner.

Supporters of the walk allow CBTF’s unique and impactful local programs to grow and meet the community's needs, including support programs for every member of the family, scholarships for survivors and siblings, and fun family activities and events. As a result CBTF can reach hundreds of families from the Dayton area impacted by brain or spinal cord tumors.

There will be character visits from A Moment of Magic UC and Central Ohio Ghostbusters along with raffles, face painting and a Halloween costume contest.
