DAYTON, Ohio – The Dayton Dragons will host a Naturalization Ceremony as part of the Celebrate Dayton program during the game on Tuesday, August 5 as they take on the Lake County Captains at Day Air Ballpark in the heart of the Water Street District. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 pm.
Dayton is home to incredible people who achieve incredible things each and every day. The Dayton Dragons Celebrate Dayton program recognizes the accomplishments of individuals and groups from the Miami Valley.
In conjunction with United States Citizenship and Immigration Services and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, 20 Miami Valley residents from 19 different countries will be taking the Oath of Allegiance on the field at Day Air Ballpark, officially becoming United States citizens.
Countries represented include Afghanistan, Argentina, Belize, Canada, Congo, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Haiti, Kenya, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Romania, Rwanda, Tanzania, United Kingdom, and Vietnam.
