Dayton, Ohio - Ohio’s 529 Plan, CollegeAdvantage will present educators and students with a $529 scholarship during the Dragons game against the West Michigan Whitecaps on Thursday, July 7.

These recipients participated in the Dragons MVP Program this year and had entered themselves in for a chance to win a CollegeAdvantage 529 College Savings Award. Ohio’s 529 CollegeAdvantage is a proud partner of the Dragons MVP Program.

The Dragons MVP Program, uses the marketing power of Dayton Dragons Baseball as an educational tool for fourth and fifth grade teachers, helping them motivate and reward students for success in the classroom. The use and distribution of the awards we're offering are entirely up to each teacher. Each teacher is the sole judge and jury in how to use the Dayton Dragons MVP 'tool' in their classroom. The MVP Program has run for 17 years and reaches to over 1,000 classrooms and additionally reaches over 30,000 students!

Fourth and fifth grade teachers in a five-county area (Clark, Greene, Miami, Montgomery, and Warren counties) receive award kits to recognize five students in their classroom. MVP Students receive a certificate awarding them as a Dragons MVP, a special MVP hat, 4 tickets to a Dragons game, and exclusive access to the Dragons MVP Zone.
