District 5 Rebel Nation Night is May 15th

Students and athletes set to be celebrated at Fluor Field

District 5 Schools of Spartanburg County are known throughout the Upstate for being very gifted, both in the class room and in athletics. On May 15th, the students, athletes, and faculty of these schools will be recognized with "Rebel Nation Night" at Fluor Field.

Prior to the start of Tuesday's game, District 5 championship teams will participate in the "Parade of Champions" around the warning track at Fluor Field, led by the Byrnes High School Rebels football team.

Throughout the game, students and faculty will take part in on-field activities, such as a tug-of-war between fitness instructors, a principals home run derby, and students versus Dr. Turner and teachers in "Are You Smarter than a 3rd Grader?"

Not only willl students and faculty serve as honorary captains and throw out the ceremonial first pitch, but Terrific Kids, Teachers and Employees of the Year will be recognized during the game.

In addition, the National Anthem will be sung by the SC Elementary Honor Choir.
