Washington Named Hale's Jewelers Player of the Year

Drive outfielder Kyri Washington has been an offensive force in the middle of the lineup all season long, and as a reward for his terrific year in Greenville, he has been selected by Drive fans as the Hale's Jewelers Player of the Year for 2016!

Washington is the team leader with 70 RBI, nine triples and a .481 slugging percentage, and he ranks second on the Drive with a .265 batting average and 14 homers.

Prior to the final home game of the 2016 season at Fluor Field on Thursday, Washington received an engraved watch from Hale's Jewelers in recognition of his outstanding year.

Washington wasn't the only person to receive a reward for his efforts, as Drive fan Janet Breaman received a $500 savings certificate from Hale's Jewelers for participating in the fan vote for the Player of the Year.
