Lawrenceville, Ga. – The Gwinnett Stripers (5-2) kept the Louisville Bats (2-4) off the board for seven of nine innings Tuesday night but lost 4-0 in their first game at Coolray Field since September 5, 2019. Lawrenceville, Ga. – The Gwinnett Stripers (5-2) kept the Louisville Bats (2-4) off the board for seven of nine innings Tuesday night but lost 4-0 in their first game at Coolray Field since September 5, 2019.

Decisive Play: *An RBI single by Louisville’s cleanup hitter Cheslor Cuthbert scored Mark Payton from second base in the top of the first inning. The Bats added two more runs off *Kyle Wright (L, 0-2) in the inning to go up 3-0.

Key Contributors: Drew Waters recorded two of Gwinnett’s three hits, stroking singles in the first and ninth. Louisville starter Ashton Goudeau (W, 1-0) threw 5.0 scoreless innings while allowing one hit and striking out three Gwinnett batters.

Noteworthy: Jasseel De La Cruz, Victor Arano and Chris Martin each pitched 1.0 scoreless inning in relief, respectively. Orlando Arcia singled in the ninth to extend his hitting streak to seven games.
