The Indians honored the 30th anniversary of Victory Field with a party celebrating the stadium's history and the fans who made it possible.
The Indians welcomed fans to the ballpark with a pregame concert from My Yellow Rickshaw. Replica Victory Field stadium giveaways were distributed to fans at the gates. Before the game, a ceremony was held on-field featuring speeches from Indians' executive members and key figures from the greater Indianapolis community.
During the game, historical videos played on the videoboard and 1996-themed graphics were on display around the concourse. Commemorative 30th anniversary t-shirts were thrown to fans in between innings. A painting of Victory Field by Indianapolis artist Justin Vinning was painted in-game and auctioned off alongside other historical Indians memorabilia. The voice of the Indians, Howard Kellman, was honored for his 50th season of broadcasting with a tribute video of his most iconic Indians calls displayed on the videoboard.
The Indians paid homage to fan favorite "Macho Mike" with a postgame YMCA Dance Cam. Afterwards, Victory Field hosted its largest firework show of the season to end the evening.
