Based on the 2026 food and beverage numbers, a trip to Principal Park is not complete without a hot dog, a cold beer or chicken strips. Throughout the 2026 season, 362,727 people attended I-Cubs games and enjoyed plenty of food and beverages along the way.

Something new at Principal Park this year was a weekly rotation of specialty hot dogs and pizza slices inspired by the visiting team’s city. The I-35 Dog was a home run, with 172 sold during the June 16-21 series vs. the Indianapolis Indians. The all-beef hot dog featured Monterey Jack cheese, crispy bacon bits, potato chips and a pineapple sauce. The Buffalo Chicken Ranch slice proved to be the top-selling pizza with 122 slices sold from June 23-27 with the Buffalo Bison in town.

More than 54,000 hot dogs were sold at Principal Park during the season, including 5,546 from $2 hot dogs on select Tuesdays.

Beer was another popular choice for the I-Cubs fanbase as a total of 132,251 cans of beer were sold. The total from the cans of beer is translated to 2,679 gallons.

Fans continued to lock into the ballpark classics as customers ordered 15,075 chicken strips, 14,089 servings of popcorn and 11,183 slices of pizza. The I-Cubs fans also had a sweet tooth based on the 9,579 ice cream cones and 8,795 servings of cotton candy.

The baseball classics lived up to their name as shown by the hot dog and beer numbers, but I-Cubs fans kept the concession stands busy all summer long. Whether it was a cracker jack or popcorn shared with family and friends, the familiar ballpark favorites helped create memories during the 2026 Iowa Cubs season.
