2013 Noon Games and Daily Specials

Cedar Rapids, IA - Opening Night is only about a month away and the Cedar Rapids Kernels announce their Noon Games and Daily Specials for 2013 and the Kernels are running a special promotion every day of the week.

Run The Bases Sunday (presented by 104.5 KDAT) returns as fans can get autographs from the Kernels players, run the bases and play catch in the outfield following the game. Enjoy Papa Balloon and Face Painting by Kennedy on the concourse during the game and Play Travel Advisors Baseball Vacation Bingo to win a trip to a Twins game. Look for the ORANGE dates on the 2013 Kernels Pocket Schedules when they come out in mid-March.

A new special this year will be Dollar Mondays. Get regular hot dogs, small popcorn, ice cream sandwiches, chips or Cracker Jacks for $1 each. Dollar Monday's are the LIGHT BLUE dates on the Kernels 2013 Pocket Schedule.

It's Twins Tuesday, presented by Great Clips, where fans can get an on-line coupon from the Kernels Facebook Page or email newsletter with a 2 for 1 ticket offer. The Kernels will wear replica Minnesota Twins Road Jerseys during the game and fans can register to win a pair of Minnesota Twins tickets that will be given away at each Tuesday home game. Look for the DARK BLUE dates for Twin Tuesdays on the pocket schedules.

Another new promotion is Free Money Wednesday where up to $1,000 will be given away at the main gates every Wednesday home game with $100 as the top cash prize each game. GREEN means cash and every Wednesday home game is GREEN on the pocket schedule.

A fan favorite returns on Thirsty Thursday, presented by Z 102.9. Fans can get a 12 oz. regular draft beer, 20 oz. bottled soda, or 20 oz. bottled water for just $2 all game. Look for the YELLOW dates on the 2013 Pocket Schedules.

The Kernels Friday Mug Club returns for 2013, presented by 98.1 KHAK. Buy a 16 oz. reusable mug of regular draft beer for $6 and get refills for $3.00 at the concession stand every Friday home game. The Kernels Friday Mug Club is BLACK on the Pocket Schedules.

The Kernels have five Noon Games this season, beginning on Tuesday, April 30^th (sponsored by 104.5 KDAT). The other four noon games are Monday, May 20^th (sponsored by Z 102.9), Monday, June 10^th (sponsored by Z 102.9), Tuesday, June 25^th (sponsored by 1450 AM & 93.1 FM KMRY), and Monday, July 15^th (sponsored by 104.5 KDAT).

Gates open at 11 am for the five noon games. Monday noon games will feature the Kernels Dollar Monday Special and Tuesday noon games will feature a $7 lunch combo (consisting of a sandwich, snack and soda or beer) plus Great Clips Twins Tuesday.

2013 season ticket packages and 10-game coupon books are on sale now at the stadium, or by calling the Kernels at (319) 363-3887. Individual game tickets go on sale Monday, March 18^th at 10 am and fans may purchase them early by coming to the Sixth Annual Spring Fling on Saturday, March 16^th from 10 am to 2 pm at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

The 2013 Kernels arrive in Cedar Rapids on Monday, April 2^nd and the first chance to meet the new team is on Wednesday, April 3^rd as part of 'Meet the Kernels Night' from 5:00 to 7:30 pm. The Kernels open the 2013 MWL season on Thursday, April 4^th at 6:35 pm against the Beloit Snappers.
