23 Former BlueClaws In Camp With Phillies

Ranger Suarez and Edgar Cabral were with BlueClaws in 2017 and in Major League camp this year

Several former BlueClaws will be a part of Major League camp with the Phillies which starts this week. 


As the Phillies report to Spring Training this week in Clearwater, a number of former BlueClaws will join first-year manager Gabe Kapler on the field for the team's first workouts.

All told, there will be 23 former BlueClaws in camp with the Phillies this spring with 18 being players already on the 40-man roster.

Pitchers: Drew Anderson (2014, 2016), Seranthony Dominguez (2016), Franklyn Kilome (2016), Mark Leiter (2013-14), Hoby Milner (2012), Hector Neris (2011), Ricardo Pinto (2015), Yacksel Rios (2014), Ranger Suarez (2017), Jose Taveras (2016).

Catchers: Andrew Knapp (2014), Cameron Rupp (2011)

Infielders: JP Crawford (2013-14), Maikel Franco (2011)

Outfielders: Aaron Altherr (2011-12), Dylan Cozens (2014), Rhys Hoskins (2015), Roman Quinn (2013)

Non-Roster Invitees (Years with BlueClaws)
Catchers: Edgar Cabral (2016-17), Logan Moore (2012)

Infielders: Scott Kingery (2015), Mitch Walding (2013-14)

Outfielders: Andrew Pullin (2014)

Suarez, who went 6-2 with a 1.59 ERA across 14 starts with the BlueClaws, and Cabral, a South Atlantic League All-Star catcher, are the only 2017 BlueClaws in camp with the Phillies this year. Several players from the 2016 BlueClaws, including pitchers Drew Anderson, Seranthony Dominguez, Franklyn Kilome, and Jose Taveras, will be in big league camp this spring.
