LAKEWOOD, NJ - The BlueClaws and Columbia Fireflies split a double-header on Monday night at FirstEnergy Park, with Columbia winning the first game 2-0 and the BlueClaws taking the night-cap 12-6. 
Lakewood (15-9/56-37) has taken two of the first three from the Fireflies (11-13/45-46) so far this year, with the teams having split their first 10 meetings. They'll play for the final time this year on Tuesday morning. 
Game One
In the opener, Columbia's Zach Rheams hit a two-out, two-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to break a scoreless tie en route to a 2-0 win. 
BlueClaws starter Gustavo Armas (0-1) went all seven, allowing two runs on four hits in what was his first start as a BlueClaw this year. Luc Rennie (1-0) got all but the last out for the Fireflies for his first win in the Mets organization.
Jake Scheiner went 0-3 and saw his 12-game hitting streak snapped.
Game Two
The BlueClaws hit double-digits for the second time this year, winning 12-6. They scored four times in the first inning off Columbia starter Chris Viall to open a 4-1 lead. Nick Maton hit an RBI triple and the inning also included a two-run double from Quincy Nieporte.
Jhailyn Ortiz hit his 10th home run of the season in the bottom of the second inning to put Lakewood up 6-1. 
The BlueClaws added three runs in the fifth including an RBI double from Daniel Brito and three in the sixth including Jake Scheiner's two-run double and an RBI double from Josh Stephen. 
Daniel Brito had four hits in the nightcap, the second four-hit game of his career. Ortiz added two hits of his own. 
The BlueClaws and Fireflies will finish their series on Tuesday morning at 11:05 am. RHP Julian Garcia (3-2, 3.71) will start for the BlueClaws opposite RHP Nicholas Debora (2-2, 2.67).
