Santos Named SAL Pitcher of the Week

After throwing five perfect innings on Friday against West Virginia, Victor Santos was named the South Atlantic League Pitcher of the Week for the week ending Sunday. 
This marks the first time this season that a BlueClaw has been named either South Atlantic League Pitcher or Player of the Week. 
Santos, an 18 year old from the Dominican Republic who will turn 19 on July 12th, struck out five of the 15 batters he faced. 
On the season, he is 3-6 with a 3.16 ERA. In his last six appearances, he has allowed just five runs over 23.2 innings pitched with four walks and 25 strikeouts.
