LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Columbus Clippers' (47-43) Eric Haase hit a go-ahead grand slam off Louisville Bats (35-52) closer Kevin Quackenbush (0-1, 1.98) in the top of the ninth inning to propel his team to a 9-5-win Friday night at Louisville Slugger Field.

Quackenbush suffered his first loss of the season and only his second blown save in 15 save attempts. The loss dropped the Bats to 31-3 when leading after eight innings.
Louisville right-handed starter Homer Bailey (1-2, 5.87) struck out 10 batters in his fifth rehab start of the season. Bailey gave up four runs in the first three innings before settling in and holding the Clippers scoreless over his final three innings of work. The righty gave up seven hits and three walks in his 100-pitch outing (65 strikes).
The teams exchanged the lead three times during the first four innings before a solo home run by Brandon Dixon put the Bats on top until the lead was given up in the ninth. Dixon went 2-for-4 in the game and recorded his fifth home run of the season.
Along with Dixon, three other Louisville players had multi-hit games as Gabriel Guerrero went 2-for-5 with an RBI, D.J. Peterson went 2-for-3, and Stuart Turner went 2-for-4. The Bats had 12 hits as a team.
