If it's raining before the start of the game...

If the rain stops before the scheduled start time, and the field conditions are deemed playable, the game will begin as planned.

If the rain continues into the scheduled start time, and the field is determined to be unplayable, a rain delay will be invokedA new start time will be determined when field conditions and the weather forecast improve.

If inclement weather is forecasted to not pass in a reasonable amount of time, the game may be postponed and deemed a rainout. If the game is deemed a rainout, fans will be able to exchange their ticket for any future regular season home game for an equal or lesser value ticket.

If it starts to rain during the game...

If it begins to rain during the game or inclement weather is approaching the area, the Bats Grounds Crew will quickly place a large tarp across the infield and invoke a rain delay. During the rain delay, Bats management will work with the umpires, team managers, and local weather outlets to ascertain the weather forecast. Once the forecast is determined to be favorable, a restart time for the game to be continued will be announced.

If everyone agrees that the inclement weather will not pass in a reasonable amount of time and/or field conditions will be unplayable, an official rainout will be announced. Fans will be able to exchange their ticket for any future regular season home game for an equal or lesser value ticket.

Rainout & Ticket Exchange Policy

A rainout is when a game is cancelled due to rain. When this happens, the game is usually rescheduled into a double-header the next time the two teams meet.

In the event of a rainout, tickets can be exchanged at the Box Office window for any future regular season home game for an equal or lesser value ticket.

If a rainout is declared after four and a half innings of baseball have been played, a game is considered "official". In this case, there will be no ticket exchanges.

All ticket exchanges must be done at the Box Office window. All exchanges are subject to availability.
