What's New at the Ballpark in 2016?
This season at Louisville Slugger Field the Bats will have a few new things for fans to enjoy. These range from our new look and colors to new mini plan packages. Without further ado, let's reveal what will be new in 2016.
New Year, New Look: Each season brings new opportunities for the team on the field, but also for the fans in the stands to engage with the new things inside the ballpark. This season at Louisville Slugger Field you will no longer see the purple that you have been used to seeing since the team became a Cincinnati Reds affiliate in 2000. You will now be seeing red and navy throughout the ballpark and also on the field with the players' uniforms. To go along with the new colors and uniforms, the beloved Buddy Bat will have new gear as well for fans of all ages to enjoy. Brand New Team Store: The Bats Team Store is renovated with all of the new gear that you could possibly want with all of the new colors and logos. From fitted hats to pullover jackets, the Bats Team Store has it all. It will be open 11 am-4 pm on weekday non-game days and 11 am through the end of the game on game days. | Learn More
Mini Plan Packages: The mini plan packages are back again this season, but with a twist. The six-game pack will cost $69 for seats in sections 122-124 and 108-110. The three six-game packs that have promotions for each day are the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday packs. There is also the option of the jumbo pack, which includes 26 games on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and the Opening Night game on Thursday, April 14. With all mini plan packages, you receive free parking and are guaranteed giveaways. | Learn More
New Club Seats and Loaded Ticket Value: The Club Level of the stadium was upgraded this offseason, replacing the existing seats, with premium seats that are padded on both the chair-back and bottom. Single-game ticket holders that sit in the Club Level now have loaded value on their ticket of a minimum of $5, which can be used at either the concession stand or on merchandise.
"Friends and Family Nights": New this season is the Raising Cane's Friends and Family Nights. You get four game tickets, four Raising Cane's meals & four hats for $39. There are four dates for the event, Saturday April 30, Tuesday June 14, Saturday July 16 and Friday August 19. | Learn More
Giveaways: New year, new giveaways. There will be three bobblehead nights, the first on Friday, June 17 as a Todd Frazier Home Run Derby bobblehead will be given to the first 2,000 fans in the stadium presented by Texas Roadhouse. The second bobblehead is a Vince Coleman, Billy Hamilton dual bobblehead on Saturday, July 23 presented by Pepsi. The final one of the season will be of Ted Power on Saturday, August 20. There will also be four hat nights. The first of which is the Bucket Hat on Sunday, May 22. The Official Team Hat will follow on Saturday, June 4. July 4th weekend brings the Patriotic Hat on Saturday, July 2. The final hat giveaway of the year is the Camo Hat on Sunday, August 7.
Promotions: One of the best parts of coming to a minor league baseball game is the promotions. In 2016 the San Diego Chicken will return to Louisville Slugger Field on Saturday, August 6. Also, making a return is Myron Noodleman on Sunday, July 24. The final new promotion of the season is the Russian Bar Trio on Friday, July 22. The Russian Bar has been seen at halftime of college basketball and NBA games around the country. Thirsty Thurdays will return from 5:30-7:00 p.m. on the Overlook Deck, but a new promotion has been added on Saturday games. There will be Goose Island IPA specials for $3 through the 7th inning of all Saturday home games this season.
