BATS SET FOR 10-GAME HOMESTAND: The Louisville Bats open up a season-long, 10-game homestand Friday night against the Durham Bulls. The first four games of the season-long homestand will come against the IL South-leading Bulls, who swept the Bats on their previous road trip at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. This marks the longest homestand played at Louisville Slugger Field since a 10-game run from April 14-23, 2016 against Toledo (4/14-4/17), Columbus (4/18-4/20) and Indianapolis (4/21-4/23).

AGAINST DURHAM: Louisville and Durham meet for the second of three series this season and the first of two to be played at Louisville Slugger Field. The two clubs will meet 10+ times in the regular season for the first time since 2007, when the Bats went 4-8 against the Bulls. The clubs met 13 times during the 2010 season, 8 times in the regular season and 5 in the IL playoffs, with Durham taking two of three from Louisville in its last postseason appearance.
GOOSE EGG HATCHED: The Bats were shut out in their game yesterday against the Indianapolis Indians, 4-0. In their 43rd game of the season, it was the first time the Bats were involved in a shutout game all season. It was the latest the Bats had gone into a season without suffering a shutout loss since the 2000 season, when they were shut out for the first time on May 25, (18 years ago today also against Durham) by a 3-0 score in their 46th game of the season. The latest into a season that Louisville's captured its first shutout win was 1997, when they defeated Oklahoma City 7-0 in its 59th game of the season.
DISCO INFERNO: Right-hander Anthony DeSclafani "Disco" will make a rehab start for Louisville tonight, his third rehab outing (first two with Class AA Pensacola Blue Wahoos) this season as he looks to return to the big leagues for the first time since 2016. He will become the sixth Louisville player on Major League rehab assignment this season, joining position players Scott Schebler and Eugenio Suárez , and pitchers Brandon Finnegan, Kevin Shackelford and David Hernandez .
NO WALKS: There were no walks on either side in Thursday's 4-0 loss to Indianapolis, the first time that's happened in a Bats game this season. Prior to yesterday, the last time the Bats played in a walk-less game was August 9, 2016, with the Bats and Charlotte Knights failing to draw a walk in the 9 innings at BB&T Ballpark. Amir Garrett (7.0ip, 2er) and Drew Hayes (1.0ip, 0r) pitched for the Bats that night, with Charlotte's Terance Marin tossing a 9-inning, complete game shutout in that ballgame.
HERRERAS...UNITE!: Both Rosell Herrera and Dilson Herrera (no relation) appeared in a game for Louisville on May 22 and 24, with the two players taking turns with pinch-hit appearances on those dates, respectively. It's the first time a pair of Bats players that share the same last name appeared in the same game for LOU since September 2, 2016 when Bryson Smith pinch hit and Josh Smith made an appearance out of the bullpen at Indianapolis. When the Herreras appear in the same lineup together, it will be the first time that multiple players in the Bats' lineup share the same last name since Bryson and Josh both started August 24, 2015 at Indianapolis.
LET'S REPEAT WEDNESDAY: The Bats scored a season-high 10 runs on Wednesday, defeating Indianapolis by a 10-2 score. Right-hander Robert Stephenson has currently won 3 starts in a row, the first Bats pitcher to accomplish that since RHP Rookie Davis won 3 in a row last August.
