Louisville Slugs Three Home Runs to Fly Past Toledo

Dewayne Wise drove in four runs and Louisville scored eight times in the seventh to cruise past Toledo, 13-2, on Saturday.

Wise, who hit a RBI double in the first, slammed his third homer, a three-run shot, to cap the seventh. He had three hits and three runs scored, as Louisville pounded out 21 hits.

Andy Abad cranked a two-run blast in the seventh and Chris Denorfia added a solo shot in the ninth. Brendan Harris had four hits, including a pair of doubles, three RBI and two runs scored. William Bergolla and Earl Snyder also drove in a run each for the Bats (71-64).

Louisville starter Steve Kelly (4-7) gave up two runs on five hits over five innings with eight strikeouts and a pair of walks.

Josh Phelps delivered a sacrifice fly and Jack Hannahan followed with a RBI single in the sixth to plate both runs for the Mud Hens (73-62).

Toledo starter Chad Durbin (10-8) worked six frames, allowing three runs on eight hits while striking out three and walking two.

The Mud Hens are tied with Indianapolis for first in the International League West Divison, while the Bats are two games out. -- Marissa Rega/MLB.com
