Ballpark Policies

ALCOHOL MANAGEMENT - No alcoholic beverages may be brought through the gates or taken outside of Pelicans Ballpark. South Carolina law prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages to persons under the age of 21. Therefore, patrons will be required to show proper identification when purchasing alcoholic beverages at Pelicans games.

ANIMALS - Animals are not allowed within Pelicans Ballpark with the exception of certified guide dogs for the disabled, Deuce, and Slider. Other animals are permitted into the ballpark only during special events, such as Bark at the Park.

ATM - For guests' convenience, an automated teller machine (ATM) is located in the Pelicans Pro Shop.

AUTOGRAPHS - A pre-game on-field autograph session is available for kids 12 and under prior to games on Tuesday - Saturday. Fans wishing to participate in the session can enter the field between sections 104 and 105.

Please note that players, coaches, and other on-field personnel are not permitted to sign autographs during the game.

BABY DIAPER CHANGING TABLES - Located in both family restrooms on the first and third base sides of the concourse. Changing tables are also located in both men's and women's restrooms of the suite/press box level.

PELICANS BEACH AREA - Located down the left field line sits Pelicans Beach. The Beach can accommodate up to 120 people for a private company outing, bachelor party, family reunion and other occasions. Sit under the palm trees with your feet up in Lack's lounge chairs while sipping on a beverage from your private bar. BEVERAGES, FOOD, & CONTAINERS - No bottles, cans, food, beverages, or containers may be brought into Pelicans Ballpark.

BIRTHDAY ANNOUNCEMENTS - To have a birthday announcement made, put in your request at Guest Services prior to the middle of the 3rd inning. A $10 donation is required which goes to the Pelicans Community Fund. You can also book in advance by calling the front office at (843) 918-6077. Payment for Birthday Announcements must be in cash or check only.

BOB GRISSOM PLAZA - The Bob Grissom Plaza, named for Myrtle Beach's late mayor, is located on the third base side of the stadium near the Grandstand Grill. Engraved bricks have been placed in the formation of a baseball diamond and are available for purchase with all proceeds benefiting the Pelicans Community Fund. To purchase a brick please contact the front office at 843-918-6002.

CASHLESS VENUE - Pelican Ballpark, home of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans and host to numerous other events throughout the year, is a cashless venue. Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express is accepted at the Box Office and throughout the ballpark. Additionally, all concession points of sale and the Pro Shop accept Apple Pay and Google Pay. A limited number of windows at the Box Office continue to accept cash.

Fans who do not carry a credit or debit card or other form of digital payment can exchange cash for Splash Cash at the Box Office as well as at Guest Services. Splash Cash can be used at concession stands, the Pro Shop, and the Box Office.

As a cashless venue, Pelicans Ballpark allows fans to have quicker, safer, and more secure transactions while also cutting down on lines and wait times.

CATCH ON THE FIELD - Due to COVID-19, field access has been restricted for the 2021 season. At this time, catch on the field has been suspended. We look forward to the return of the on-field catch as soon as possible.

ELEVATOR - Pelicans Ballpark is equipped with an elevator located at the home plate entrance, which provides access to the second level for suite holders, Pelicans Food & Beverage personnel, media, and press box staff. Proper identification is required to access the elevator. The only exception is if the restaurant is open and you wish to dine there.

FAN CODE OF CONDUCT - Out of respect for fellow guests, players, coaches, and ballpark staff, all guests are prohibited from:

  • Trespassing on the playing field at any time;
  • Interfering with baseballs that are in play;
  • Throwing or tossing objects;
  • Using foul, obscene or derogatory language (see below) or gestures;
  • Misusing or overconsuming alcohol, including, underage consumption;
  • Behaving in a manner that is disruptive, unruly, or abusive;
  • Accessing areas of the ballpark without a proper ticket, pass, or credential;
  • Misusing tickets, passes, or credentials in any way; or
  • Bringing prohibited items (listed below) into the ballpark.

Furthermore, guests are required to wear shirts and shoes at all times, and guests appearing intoxicated will be ejected from the ballpark and turned over to the Myrtle Beach Police Department.

Derogatory language is defined as offensive language concerning a person’s race, ethnicity, gender, religion, disability, age, sexual orientation, or national origin, and anyone using such language is subject to automatic ejection from the ballpark.

Violations of the Fan Code of Conduct will not be tolerated and may lead to ejection from the ballpark, a ban on attending future games, or other consequences. Guests who are found to have used derogatory language will be ejected from the ballpark.

Guest may report a violation to the Fan Code of Conduct to any game day employee, front office employee, or at Guest Services which is located on the main concourse behind home plate.

FAN MAIL - Please address your requests and letters as follows: Player Name, Myrtle Beach Pelicans, Pelicans Ballpark, 1251 21st Avenue N., Myrtle Beach, SC 29577. To ensure items for signature are returned, please provide a self-addressed stamped envelope. Though reasonable precautions will be taken, the Myrtle Beach Pelicans are not responsible if an item is not returned.

FIRST AID - The first aid office is located on the first base side of the main concourse level of the ballpark behind section 107.

FOUL BALLS - Fans are welcome to keep any foul ball hit or thrown into the stands. Please stay alert at all times as any batted or thrown ball can be dangerous. At no time should a guest interfere with a ball in play or throw balls back onto the field. Any guest interfering with play will be subject to ejection from the ballpark. Those leaving the stadium to retrieve a ball will not be allowed back into the park without the proper ticket stub and hand stamp.

GAME BROADCASTS - Audio for all 120 regular season games will be streamed live the TuneIn Radio App. This is a free service to baseball fans everywhere. GATES OPEN - Gates to the ballpark open one hour before the scheduled start of a game unless otherwise designated. Guests are encouraged to come early and watch all the Pelicans pre-game ceremonies.

GRAND STRAND OPTIMIST CLUB PLAYGROUND - A handicap accessible children's play area, funded by the Grand Strand Optimist Club, the City of Myrtle Beach, and the Myrtle Beach Pelicans is located behind the picnic area on the first base side. The play area is open during Pelicans games and year-round through the gate located off the parking lot drive.

KIDS RUN THE BASES - Due to COVID-19, field access has been restricted for the 2021 season. Kids run the bases will take place every Friday after the fireworks. Kids enter the field on the first base side at the top of Section 104 and exit near the home plate area at Section 107. Fans are encouraged to proceed to the first base side only after the completion of the game so as to not disturb the patrons sitting in those areas. Parents may join younger children on the field if desired. Kids are asked to only run the bases once since time is often limited due to other post-game events.

LOST AND FOUND - Lost items that have been turned in may be retrieved at the Guest Services booth. Fans also may call the Myrtle Beach Pelicans Front Office at (843) 918-6002 to inquire about lost and found items.

LOST PARENTS/FOUND CHILDREN - Parents should report a lost child to a representative at the Guest Services booth. A Pelicans representative will contact security immediately.

LUXURY SUITES - Nine suites wrap around the press box level, looking down on all of the action on the field. Amenities include a wet bar, refrigerator, high-definition cable TV, telephone, outdoor seating for 12, exclusive food/beverage service and private bathrooms. MASCOT APPEARANCES - The Pelicans mascots are available for parades, special occasions, grand openings, or birthday parties. For more information and availability contact the Pelicans Front Office at (843) 918-6002.

PARKING - All public, handicap and reserved VIP parking, with a yellow tag, is available at no charge in the main parking lots directly south of the stadium via entering the Bob Grissom Parkway entrance. Suite holders and media are the only vehicles allowed to enter via the 21st Avenue entrance. Ballpark parking lots open two hours prior to game time. PELICANS MERCHANDISE - A large selection of Pelicans merchandise is available in the Pelicans Pro Shop off the main concourse on the first base side of the stadium. Check pelicans.milbstore.com for more items and for hours of operation.

PROHIBITED ITEMS - The following items are prohibited in the ballpark: beach balls, inflatables, glass bottles, fireworks, firearms or any other weapons, laser devices or pointers, skateboards, rollerblades, skate shoes, hover boards, toy guns or knives, sticks, clubs, unmanned aerial vehicles, aerosol cans, baseball bats, hard sided coolers, and containers larger than 16x16x8 inches.

RAIN CHECKS - A game becomes official after 4.5 innings when the home team has the lead. Otherwise, 5 full innings of play must be completed for a game to be official. If a game is stopped before becoming official or before starting, ticket stubs may be exchanged at the Pelicans Box Office for any home game during the regular season, based upon availability. There are no refunds. In the event the game is shortened, but official, or the second game of a doubleheader is rained out, there is no rain check or refund. RESTROOMS - Restrooms are located on the main concourse on the first and third base sides as well as on the suite level.

SECURITY - Myrtle Beach Police officers are present before, during, and after all games throughout the stadium and parking lots.

SLIDER - For information on Slider's public appearances, or to inquire about special Slider events, call the Pelicans Front Office at 843-918-6002.

SMOKING - Smoking at Pelicans Ballpark is allowed only in designated smoking areas located at Gate 3 on the third base side of the concourse. Smoking is not permitted in the seating areas, this includes vapor cigarettes.

WHEELCHAIR ASSISTANCE / SEATING - Disabled guests may enter at the main entrances as well as the Handicap Gate located next to the handicap parking lot. Handicapped seating is located in sections 102, 103, 105, 109, 111, 115, & 117. Pelicans Ballpark is A.D.A. compliant.

WILL CALL - Fans purchasing tickets over the phone or on the internet may pick up their tickets at the Will Call office located next to Gate 3. Guests must have proper photo identification to pick up tickets. The Will Call office opens 2 hours before game time
