Golf Night, Animal House Tribute highlight final homestand

Pelicans wrap first season as Cubs affiliate with full slate of family-fun events
August 24, 2015

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AUGUST 24, 2015) - The Myrtle Beach Pelicans, Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, open their final homestand of the 2015 season with a bevy of exciting, fun-filled events including Golf Night on Tuesday, Bark in the Park on Wednesday, and Animal House Tribute Night on Thursday.

On the field, the homestand kicks off with a pivotal series against the first-place Winston-Salem Dash in the race for a second half Carolina League Southern Division championship. The Pelicans play the Dash August 24‒26 in a three-game series, followed by four games against the Wilmington Blue Rocks, August 27‒30.

The always-popular Golf Night returns on Tuesday, August 25, featuring an argyle, Pelicans-themed golf visor to the first 1,000 fans through the gates.

The Pelicans will be wearing "COLLEGE" uniforms on Thursday for Animal House Tribute Night. In homage to the 1978 classic John Belushi comedy Animal House, fans are invited to dress in togas for that night's game, and fans can enter the Bluto Look-A-Like contest to win one of the authentic "COLLEGE" uniforms (click here for additional details).

A pregame player autograph session is open to all fans before every game, and kids 12 and under can run the bases after each game, courtesy of Sweet Frog.
