ZEBULON, N.C. (July 25, 2018) - The Carolina Mudcats rallied for a run in the eighth and two in the ninth Wednesday to walk-off on the Myrtle Beach Pelicans 6-5 at Five County Stadium.

With Myrtle Beach (47-56, 13-20) ahead 5-3, Ryan Aguilar doubled to start the eighth. Consecutive wild pitches by Casey Bloomquist (2-4) allowed Aguilar to score, cutting the Pelicans' lead to one.

Weston Wilson singled with one out in the ninth before Cooper Hummel reached on an error. Mario Feliciano doubled home Wilson to tie the game before the Pelicans decided to intentionally walk Aguilar. Pat McInerney then rifled the game-winning single to left to win it 6-5 for Carolina (52-50, 18-14).

The Pelicans jumped out to a 2-0 lead on a pair of RBI doubles by Jared Young in the first and third innings, respectively.

With the Birds ahead 2-0, Wilson walked with two outs before racing in to score on Hummel's RBI two-bagger.

Yeiler Peguero started the fifth inning with a single. He advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt. After Andruw Monasterio was hit by a pitch, Aramis Ademan singled in Peguero. Young added an RBI ground out before Kevonte Mitchell's RBI single increased the advantage to 5-1.

However, in the bottom of the fifth, Carolina started their rally. Joantgel Segovia walked, and after a strikeout, Demi Orimoloye singled to third. Wilson and Hummel then notched consecutive RBI singles to draw Carolina to within 5-3.

Alec Kenilvort (3-3) earned the win with two scoreless innings out of the bullpen.
