Pelicans announce CCU March Madness savings

Fans get their tickets for free if Coastal Carolina beats Wisconsin

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (MARCH 16, 2015) - The Myrtle Beach Pelicans, the Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, are ready to cheer on the Coastal Carolina University Chanticleers in their NCAA March Madness contest against the Wisconsin Badgers on Friday night. The Pelicans want their fans to cheer on the Chants as well and will be giving the full purchase price back on any ticket purchase made before the end of the week.  

For the second straight season, the Chanticleers are headed to the NCAA Tournament. In 2014, CCU nearly knocked off top seeded Virginia. They led the Cavaliers at half time, were tied with less than ten minutes remaining, and lost by only 11 points. Tip-off for Friday's contest is scheduled for 9:20 p.m. ET on TBS.

Any new ticket purchase from 2:00 p.m. on Monday until 5:00 p.m. on Friday qualifies for the offer. Any new single game tickets purchased online and in-person at the box office, season seat memberships, and group tickets all qualify for the offer. Should Coastal Carolina beat Wisconsin on Friday, fans will get their money back and keep their tickets. There is no limit to the size of the purchase and no blackout dates apply.

Single game tickets can be purchased online and at the Pelicans box office, which is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

When Coastal Carolina beats Wisconsin on Friday night, fans can either e-mail [email protected] or call and leave a voicemail at (843) 918-6009 to receive a refund on the entire purchase price.

The 2015 season marks the 17th season for the Pelicans franchise and first as the Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. Season seat memberships, group tickets, and single game tickets are available for purchase now online, over the phone, and in person at the Pelicans box office.
