In conjunction with the Baltimore Orioles, the Norfolk Tides today announced Ethan Anderson and Aron Estrada are being promoted to Norfolk from Double-A Chesapeake. Anderson is a graduate from Frank W. Cox High School in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and was drafted from the University of Virginia.

ETHAN ANDERSON, 22, turns 23-years-old on September 21. He is currently ranked as the #16 prospect in the Orioles organization by MLB Pipeline. Anderson was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and graduated from Cox High School in three years. He was named 1st Team All-Tidewater in 2019 and 2021. Upon graduating, Anderson was ranked as the #1 catcher in the state of Virginia, and the #4 overall player by Perfect Game. He went on to attend the University of Virginia and played there for three seasons. Anderson finished in the top 10 in UVA history in doubles (3rd, 58), homer runs (28, T-7th), runs (9th, 173) and total bases (10th, 373). He was drafted by Baltimore in the 2nd round of the 2024 MLB Draft.

Anderson has spent most of the season with Chesapeake, playing 82 games with the Baysox. He hit .271 with 60 runs, 12 doubles, 21 home runs, 47 RBI, 41 walks, and slashed .363/.518/.881. The 21 home runs ranked tied-for-eighth in the Eastern League. Anderson started 52 games at catcher, 21 games at first base, and six as the designated. He served one Minor League Rehab stint with High-A Frederick for six games while being on the Injured List from July 7 until he was activated on August 25.

ARON ESTRADA, 21, is ranked as the #13 prospect in the Orioles organization. He played 123 games with Chesapeake, hitting .278 with 70 runs, 21 doubles, 24 home runs, 76 RBI, and slashing .321/.481/.802. He ranked among Eastern League Leaders in homers (3rd), hits (4th, 130), RBI (5th), extra-base hits (T-6th, 46), batting average (8th) and slugging percentage (8th). At 21 years, 244 days old today, the 2nd youngest player to play on Tides roster this season (Fernando Peguero, 21.121 on April 12).

Individual game tickets are currently available online. Fans can purchase 2026 ticketing plans, including 2027 season tickets by reaching 757-622-2222. Fans should follow the Tides on social media and at norfolktides.com for the most up-to-date information. Single game tickets start as low as $17. The Tides also offer special discounts to students through high school, active military with ID and senior citizens (60 & over). These special discounts are available in Reserved sections and can be purchased for $15 in advance. Children under two years old are admitted free of charge.
