Game Summary: The Round Rock Express tallied 10-straight runs against the Oklahoma City Dodgers, including four in the first inning, on the way to a 10-2 win in the series finale between the teams Tuesday night at Dell Diamond. The Dodgers (1-5) grabbed an early 1-0 lead in their first at-bat for the second straight game with a RBI single by Zach Reks, but the Express answered with four runs in the bottom of the frame and led the remainder of the night. Round Rock (5-1) tacked on four more runs in the third inning, including a three-run homer by Yohel Pozo, as well as two additional runs in the fifth inning. An RBI double in the ninth inning by Keibert Ruiz gave the Dodgers their second run of the game.

Of Note:

-Catcher Keibert Ruiz led the Dodgers with three hits, including two doubles, and a RBI. He has hit safely in each of his first two games with OKC after being optioned by the Los Angeles Dodgers Monday.

-Pitcher Edwin Uceta made his team debut for OKC, allowing two runs and three hits with two walks and six strikeouts over 4.0 innings of relief. Uceta was optioned to OKC Saturday by the Los Angeles Dodgers and has pitched in two ML games this season.

-Round Rock won the season-opening series between the teams, 5-1, grabbing an early lead in the Red Dirt Rumble rivalry series. The Triple-A West East Division foes are scheduled to meet 24 more times this season.

-Tuesday marked the second time this season the Dodgers have allowed double-digit runs in a game. OKC allowed a season-high 15 runs Friday in a 15-6 loss at Round Rock.

-Round Rock entered Tuesday’s game with a Triple-A West-leading 13 homers so far this season and added their 14th homer Tuesday with a three-run shot by Yohel Pozo in the third inning.

What’s Next: After a day off Wednesday, the Dodgers open the home portion of their 2021 schedule with a 7:05 p.m. game Thursday against the Sacramento River Cats at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Fireworks are slated to follow OKC’s home opener, which kicks off a six-game series between the teams.
