OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma City Comets return home for a six-game series tonight through Sunday against the Tacoma Rainiers at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, highlighted by Saturday’s First Responders Night on the 30th anniversary of the 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City.

Prior to the Comets’ 6:05 p.m. game Saturday, first responders who assisted in the aftermath of the bombing will be honored on the field and representatives from the Oklahoma City Police Department, EMSA and Oklahoma City Fire Department are scheduled to throw out first pitches.

During a pregame ceremony alongside representatives from the Oklahoma City National Memorial Museum, the No. 168 will be retired at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in recognition of the 168 lives lost in the Oklahoma City bombing and 168 seconds of silence will be observed in their honor.

A parade of emergency vehicles will travel around the field’s warning track pregame and additional vehicles will be on display throughout the evening at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. The Comets will then take the field wearing the team’s City Celebration jerseys and 405 hats.

The six-game series opens at 6:05 tonight on a $2 Tuesday and all Tuesday Comets home games feature $2 select beer, soda and bottled water from a line of Miller, Coors and Pepsi products. Select COOP Ale Works draft beer will also be available at a special rate of $3, including the new Comets Ale.

An 11:05 a.m. Field Trip Day game is scheduled for Wednesday as thousands of students are expected to fill the stadium and enjoy a fun day of baseball before the school year ends.

The series continues with 7:05 p.m. games Thursday and Friday. Fireworks are scheduled to follow Friday’s game and the first INTEGRIS Health “Home Run For Life” ceremony of the season is scheduled to take place during the game. Oklahomans who have overcome medical hardships with the help of their families, physicians and health care professionals at INTEGRIS Health will be honored during select games throughout the season and mark the end of their battle against adversity with a celebratory lap around the bases.

On First Responders Night Saturday, Braum’s Friends and Family 4-Pack tickets are available for purchase. The ticket packages start at $47 and include four Comets game tickets, four Comets hats and four Braum’s restaurant vouchers that can be redeemed at any Oklahoma Braum’s location.

The Comets then wrap up their home series with a 4:05 p.m. game on a Family Sunday. Select Oklahoma City players will be available to sign autographs for fans prior to first pitch, and following the game, kids can take the field to run the bases.

The Triple-A affiliate of the 2024 World Champion Los Angeles Dodgers rebranded to the Oklahoma City Comets in October 2024 with a name that boasts strong ties to Oklahoma. The Comets brand honors Oklahoma native and Hall of Fame center fielder Mickey Mantle, known as the “Commerce Comet.” The team’s new space theme celebrates Oklahoma’s ties to the aerospace industry while also drawing inspiration from the parent club Dodgers’ legendary “shooting ball” logo.
