Oklahoma City 89ers to Return on Throwback Thursday

OKLAHOMA CITY - The Oklahoma City 89ers will return for one night only as the Oklahoma City Dodgers take the field in retro 89ers jerseys and hats as part of a special "Throwback Thursday" at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
The Dodgers wrap up their regular season home schedule at 7:05 p.m. Thursday against the New Orleans Baby Cakes at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

Dodgers players and coaches will wear special 89ers jerseys and hats throughout the night and their game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off via a silent auction to benefit the OKC Dodgers Baseball Foundation.
The final regular-season home game of Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark's 20th season also falls on a $2 Thursday, featuring $2 soda, water and beer from a line of Budweiser and Pepsi products. Fireworks will follow the game, presented by Francis Tuttle.
The Oklahoma City 89ers played at All Sports Stadium, formerly located at the state fairgrounds, from 1962-1997. The 89ers won two Pacific Coast League titles in 1963 and 1965 and two American Association titles in 1992 and 1996 before the franchise located to Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in 1998 and became known as the RedHawks, and now as the Dodgers.
Retro 89ers merchandise will be available for purchase in the OKC Dodgers Team Store, including a limited number of the same 89ers hats the team will wear on the field. Oklahoma City 89ers T-shirts will also be available for purchase.
A special group ticket package is available for the game, with groups of 10 or more receiving a game ticket, $6 in Dodger Dollars and an OKC Dodgers baseball hat for $18.89 per person. The group leader will also receive an 89ers pennant and be entered to win an 89ers jersey.
Thursday is also a Braum's Friends and Family Night. Fans can purchase a package that includes four game tickets, four Braum's combo meal vouchers and four OKC Dodgers hats starting at $44.99.
The Dodgers are in the midst of their final home series against the Baby Cakes, which continues at 7:05 tonight and at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday prior to the 7:05 p.m. "Throwback Thursday" game at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
