Woodbridge, VA---With Opening Day 2018 just over a week away, the Potomac Nationals are excited to unveil improvements to Pfitzner Stadium. From new items for sale in both the National Mall and concession stands, to increased netting for fan safety, the P-Nats are consistently improving the gameday experience for The Red, White, & Blue faithful.
Netting Safety Initiatives
The most visible change to the appearance at Pfitzner Stadium for 2018 will be the addition of netting around the dugouts as part of an initiative to improve fan safety. The new netting will extend to the home plate side of both the first and third base dugout, which will provide additional protection for fans seating in many of the sections at Pfitzner Stadium. Added safety netting will also be included in front of both the home and visiting dugout, as part of the effort to improve player safety. The new netting will protect players and coaches from both batted and thrown balls.
"Hit it Here"
Another visible change to the Pfitzner Stadium atmosphere will be a giant target in right-centerfield. This target will be part of the P-Nats' "Hit it Here" promotion, where if a member of the Potomac Nationals hits a home run off of the target, every fan in attendance can bring back that game's ticket stub to the Extreme Custom Collision Ticket Office for a free grandstand ticket to any other regular season game, except for July 4th. All redeemed tickets are subject to availability.
P-Nats Party Zone
An added entertainment area for 2018, the P-Nats Party Zone will be located near the main gate to Pfitzner Stadium. This new area will be open Thursday through Sunday throughout the regular season. The P-Nats Party Zone will include opportunities to catch the latest sporting event on TV and enjoy beverages and occasional food items. This area will also be available for groups to rent out as an additional benefit at Pfitzner Stadium.
New Food & Beverage Options
The P-Nats continue to up the ante with options at concession stands throughout the ballpark, both at the main concession stand within the Extreme Custom Collision Café Area as well as through other concessions points throughout the ballpark.
Paisano's Pizza is the new official pizza of the Potomac Nationals. Paisano's Pizza will be sold by the slice in the Extreme Custom Collision Café Area, right next to the Café Cantina stand.
