(Manchester, NH) - Reading Fightin Phils (40-46) shortstop Malquin Canelo hit a go-ahead RBI triple off Fisher Cats relief pitcher Andrew Case (1-2) in the top of the ninth inning to break a 1-1 tie against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (48-37). Reading has now won four straight games and is now 8-7 against New Hampshire this season.
Cornelius Randolph hit a RBI single off Fisher Cats starter Jordan Romano in the top of the third inning to score Drew Stankiewicz and give Reading a 1-0 lead. Harold Ramirez tied the game at 1-1 for the Fisher Cats as he hit a RBI single off JoJo Romero to score Bo Bichette .
Romero allowed just one run off five hits and four walks with eight strikeouts in seven innings. Aaron Brown (1-0) earned his first double-A win by pitching a scoreless bottom of the eighth inning. Jeff Singer earned his fifth save by retiring the side in the bottom of the ninth inning.
