Fightins pull away after 13 innings
The Fightin Phils (33-15) and the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (20-26) went 13 innings on Friday night. Reading won 9-8 as former Fisher Cat Jake Fox hit a go-ahead RBI single off Brady Dragmire (1-4) in the top of the 13th inning.
Reading jumped out of the gate early by scoring four runs off Fisher Cats starter Jeremy Gabryszwski to take a 4-0 lead. Jorge Alfaro hit a RBI single that was followed by a RBI double from Dylan Cozens. Rhys Hoskins added a RBI single then Cozens scored on a ground-ball double play.
The Fisher Cats tied the game at 4-4 off Mark Leiter Jr. in the bottom of the fourth inning. Leiter Jr. left the game after three innings of work. He allowed four runs off four hits with three walks and three strikeouts. Reinier Roibal entered the game in the bottom of the fourth inning. He gave up a three-run home run to Christian Lopes in the bottom of the sixth that gave New Hampshire a 7-4 lead.

Aaron Brown hit his first AA home run of the season in the top of the ninth inning off Fisher Cats reliever Will Browning. A three-run home run by Brown tied the game at 7-7. Gregory Infante (2-1) tossed three scoreless innings in relief for the win. Miguel Nunez faced four batters and recorded one out before leaving the game for Hoby Milner (3-0) in the bottom of the 12th. The Fisher Cats tied it at 8-8 as Roemon Fields hit a RBI single to score Ian Parmley.
The Fightin Phils and Fisher Cats will meet again on Saturday night. First pitch is at 6:05 pm from Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. Fans can listen to the game on Sports Radio AM 1240/FM 98.5 and fightins.com at 5:35 pm.
