FRISCO, TEXAS (AUGUST 9, 2014) - Rangers left-handed pitcher and former RoughRider Derek Holland will make a rehab start for the Frisco RoughRiders in their game against the Tulsa Drillers on Saturday, August 9 at Dr Pepper Ballpark. Holland is recovering from left knee surgery in January and Saturday's rehab start with be the third outing of his major league rehab assignment.
The game against Tulsa is slated to begin at 7:05 p.m. and tickets for the contest remain available. Fans may purchase tickets at the Dr Pepper Ballpark box office, by calling (972) 334-1900 or by visiting www.RidersBaseball.com.
Holland began his rehab stint in Frisco on July 30 against the Midland RockHounds. He started the contest and pitched two innings and allowed neither a run nor a hit. The southpaw also walked two batters and struck out four. In between outings for the RoughRiders, Holland also made an appearance with Triple-A Round Rock.
