Entering the game, Luke Jackson was riding a streak of 18 straight scoreless innings. Jackson faced the minimum through the first two, but got in a bind in the third. Tyler Ladendorf, Vinnine Catricala and Beau Taylor all singled, loading the bases and then Conner Crumbliss smacked a sac fly to left field, giving Midland (25-37, 58-74) a one-run lead and scoring a run and ending Jackson's streak at 20.

With two outs in the seventh, Ladendorf launched a solo home run off the roof of the left field Diamond Deck to tie the game at two.

Max Muncy led off the 12th inning with a double to left-center, and Ladendorf walked. Catricala grounded to first, advancing the runners and later in the frame, then both runners scored on a fielding error by Odor, giving the 'Hounds a 4-2 lead

Jackson pitched a solid five innings, striking out seven and allowing just one run on three hits. Brett Hunter (2-1) pitched two scoreless innings with three strikeouts to earn the victory while Alex Claudio (1-3) allowed two runs on one hit in two innings to suffer the loss.
