Magic Swing Promotion strikes for a second time

FRISCO, TEXAS (JULY 8, 2013) - For the second time this season and second time in less than a month, Pat Lobb Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Frisco gave away a brand new 2013 Jeep Wrangler to a lucky Frisco RoughRiders fan at Dr Pepper Ballpark. As part of the Pat Lobb Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Magic Swing Promotion, Suzie Magee of Frisco won the new vehicle when Odubel Herrera hit a home run to right-center field on the first swing of the fifth inning on Sunday night at Dr Pepper Ballpark.

The promotion awards the contestant with a brand new 2013 Jeep Wrangler if the RoughRiders hit a home run on the first swing of the bottom of the fifth inning. Herrera took the first pitch of the inning, a curveball in the dirt from Northwest Arkansas starting pitcher Aaron Brooks. He then smashed the next pitch, sending the crowd into a frenzy and the Magee family into celebration.

On June 14, 'Riders catcher Tomas Telis made a winner of Frisco resident Jana Tucker on the same promotion. The RoughRiders and Pat Lobb Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Frisco have run the promotion seven times this season, including Sunday night. Like Telis' homer, Herrera's long ball was only his second of the season. The home run tied the game at 4-4 in an eventual 7-5 loss against the Naturals.
