WOODBRIDGE, Virginia (April 25, 2019) - The Salem Red Sox rallied in their second extra-inning contest of the season, jumping on Nationals errors to win 7-6 in 10 innings Thursday night at Pfitzner Stadium; the final win in an organizational sweep by the Boston affiliates.

How it Happened
* The Red Sox pounced all over P-Nats starter Luis Reyes in the first inning as all nine batted against him. Jarren Duran knocked a lead-off single and Salem loaded the bases with Jagger Rusconi and Pedro Castellanos before Ryan Fitzgerald drove in the first run on a sacrifice fly. Victor Acosta drove in an RBI single and Charlie Madden drove in two on a single. By the time Reyes finished the frame, the Sox had taken a 4-0 lead on five hits.
* Potomac took one run back in the bottom of the frame with a 2-out solo blast by Telmetio Augustin to cut the lead 4-1.
* Salem grabbed the difference right back in the 2nd inning with another Fitzgerald sacrifice fly to push ahead 5-1.
* The P-Nats continued to rally, scratching a run on a sacrifice groundout in the bottom of the 2nd to cut back in, 5-2. Nick Banks knocked the second homer of the night in the 6th with a 2-run round-tripper, Potomac drawing closer, 5-4.
* Banks tied the game 5-5 in the 8th after scoring on an error, forcing the clubs into extras, the second time of the season for Salem.
* Andrew Politi closed the final two regulated innings, finishing with three hits and one unearned run, picking up the win.
* Jake Cosart closed the door on the Nationals in the 10th inning after surrendering a solo knock, good for his third save in as many attempts.
