The RailRiders struck first in the bottom of the first. Oswald Peraza drew a walk, Everson Pereira reached on an error and Ben Rortvedt advanced them to second and third on a groundout. With two outs, Chaparro laced his 15th double of the season bringing home both Peraza and Pereira. Franchy Cordero drove in Chaparro with an RBI single and at the end of one, SWB held a 3-0 lead.
Scranton/Wilkes-Barre pulled away in the third. Back-to-back singles from Pereira and Rortvedt led off the bottom of the inning. With runners on the corners and no outs, Chaparro ripped an RBI single into left field to score Pereira. Cordero tagged his second RBI single of the night to bring in Rortvedt. In the bottom of the eighth, the RailRiders tacked on two more. Chaparro, Cordero and Durán all drew walks to load the bases before a double play brought in Chaparro. With Cordero on third, Brandon Lockridge hit an RBI single to finish off the scoring in the 14-0 victory for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
