WIND SURGE AND FREDDY’S TO RECOGNIZE FIRST RESPONDERS AT FRIDAY HOME GAMES

WICHITA, Kan.—The Wichita Wind Surge is proud to announce a special initiative to recognize and thank the brave men and women who serve our community as first responders. The team is proud to introduce First Responder Friday’s for each of our Friday home games. First Responder Friday is a partnership with Wichita based Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers.

First Responder Friday will provide 100 complimentary tickets for each Friday game during the 2026 season courtesy of Freddy’s. Tickets are on a first come first served basis and are limited to four per week per first responder. Family members may also be eligible for discounted tickets, creating an opportunity for these heroes to enjoy a well-deserved night out at the ballpark.

To redeem tickets, first responders can visit https://www.milb.com/wichita/community/first-responder-friday. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

“First responders are the backbone of our community,” said Wind Surge General Manager, Matt Hamilton. “Their dedication, courage, and sacrifice do not go unnoticed, and this is one small way we can show our gratitude and give back.”
