Brandon Drury has been on a tear this Spring Training. The infielder from Grants Pass, Oregon was named OUR D-backs Spring Training Player of the Week (3/13-3-19). Drury joins Oscar Hernandez and Kristopher Negron as winners of this award.
Over the course of this week, Drury led the D-backs offensively. In four games played, the versatile infielder failed to notch a base hit just once, raising his average to a remarkable .425 this spring. He recorded three multi-hit games this week, going 3-for-3 twice, and 2-for-2 once.
Drury played in 134 games with the D-backs in 2016, batting .282 with 16 home runs and 53 RBI. The versatile infielder spent 63 games in Reno in 2015 before making his Major League debut in September. As a member of the Aces, Drury batted .321 with 26 doubles in just 66 combined games.
Drury was named a MiLB.com Organization All-Star three times, (2011, 2013, and 2015) and earned the honor of National League Player of the Week 9/18/16. Drafted in the 13th round of the 2010 draft, Drury will likely be a staple in the Arizona infield for years to come.
