John Smoltz To Highlight All-Star Luncheon

RENO, Nev. - Eight-time Major League Baseball All-Star John Smoltz will serve as the keynote speaker for the 2013 Triple-A All-Star Luncheon on Wednesday, July 17, the Aces announced today.

The luncheon will take place at Harrah's Reno, which has signed on as the host hotel for the entire All-Star week, and will begin at 11:30 a.m.

All-Star players and field staff from both the Pacific Coast League and International League will be introduced, and owners, general managers and executives from around Triple-A baseball will be in attendance.

Individuals can purchase tickets for $100, and a table of 10 seats can be bought for $800. Those interested in purchasing luncheon tickets should call Cody at (775) 334-7076.

Smoltz, who currently serves as an analyst for MLB Network and Turner Sports, was a World Series Champion with the Atlanta Braves in 1995. He is one of only 16 pitchers in MLB history to record 3,000 strikeouts during his career.

The 2013 Dolan Auto Group All-Star Game will take place that night, with first pitch slated for 6:05 p.m. PT.
