Summary

Turning Point

Mound Presence
Eli Morgan worked out of a handful of jams in his start for the RubberDucks, striking out six Richmond Flying Squirrels while allowing just two runs on five hits through six innings of work. David Speer (2 innings) and Kyle Nelson (1) came on in relief for the Ducks, blanking the Flying Squirrels in the final three innings and combining for four strikeouts.
Duck Tales
After falling behind a run, Wilson Garcia tied the score at 1-1 for the RubberDucks with a sacrifice fly in the third inning. Garcia would pick up two more RBIs in the fifth inning with his two-run blast off Richmond starter Garrett Williams, making the score 3-1. After surrendering a solo home run, the Akron offense would respond with two more runs in the bottom of the sixth on a Tyler Friis bases loaded walk and a Richmond wild pitch that scored Tyler Krieger .
