Linked Up for Lincoln Cooper

The Altoona Curve has linked up with the Cooper family of Rio Rancho, N.M. to support their son, Lincoln, who is battling Leukemia. Lincoln is four years old and the grandson of Altoona Curve Chief Operating Officer David Lozinak.

To assist the family with medical costs, the Altoona Curve designed a T-shirt in Lincoln's favorite color (turquoise), which is now for sale.

All proceeds will go to the Cooper family. T-shirt orders will be available through August 21.

Lincoln also has a GoFundMe page for those who wish to simply make a donation.

Lincoln's Story

Up until the day little Lincoln was admitted to the hospital, he was running around the yard, playing and fighting with his siblings. He had nearly no symptoms of anything irregular. What did appear, however, were red dots on his skin and some irregular bruising. His mother, Cassandra, called the pediatrician just to "play it safe". 24 hours after a routine phone call to the pediatrician, Lincoln's diagnoses was confirmed.

Those little red dots and unique bruises turned out to be a result of B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

The Coopers' lives changed very quickly and Lincoln spent eight days in the hospital.

Since then, he has been receiving outpatient treatment. He’s had several transfusions and multiple doses of chemotherapy. The family is happy to report that Lincoln's treatment so far is going according to plan.

Please keep Lincoln in your thoughts and prayers as he continues this journey to beat cancer. To keep up with Lincoln, make sure to follow @yochowdaa on Instagram and like “Yochowdaa” on Facebook. #LINCOLNSTRONG
