CURVE, Pa. - The Altoona Curve and Trenton Thunder have scheduled to make up two games impacted by rain at ARM & HAMMER Park from May 29-30.
After the game on May 29 was postponed due to rain, the two clubs were set to play a double-header on May 30. The Curve jumped out to a 6-0 lead in game one, which was delay nearly 2.5 hours, before rain returned and halted the game in the top of the third inning. The second game of the twin bill was completely wiped out due to the weather.
On the next trip to Trenton for the Curve on July 30-August 1, the two clubs will make up both contests at ARM & HAMMER Park. The suspended game will resume on Tuesday, July 30 at 5 p.m. and played to the scheduled seven innings. After that game is completed, the Curve and Thunder will play a seven-inning game similar to a traditional double-header. The second game from the May 30 double-header will be made up as a dual session on Thursday, August 1 at 5 p.m. with a pair of seven-inning games.
The resumption of the suspended game from May 30 will revert back to the first half standings and statistics but will not impact the outcome of deciding playoff positioning, which ends on June 18. The rest of the games made up in the series will be second half games for both clubs.
The Curve continue their homestand with a three-game series against the Portland Sea Dogs, Double-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, through Thursday.
