GreenJackets Use Two Big Innings to Pull Off Win

North Augusta, SC: The Augusta GreenJackets, South Atlantic League affiliate of San Francisco Giants, won 7-4 against the Lexington Legends on Thursday night.  

The GreenJackets got off to a quick start with a two-run single by Ryan Kirby with the bases loaded. This was then followed up with a passed ball that scored Jacob Gonzalez from third base. The GreenJackets had a 3-0 lead after the first inning.
Lexington would respond with a run of their own in the top of the third, to make the score 3-1. In the fifth inning, Augusta would take control of the game. Heliot Ramos would lead off the inning with a solo home run to left field, his sixth of the season. Then with Manuel Geraldo at second base, Kirby would hit his 12^th home run of the season to right field. The GreenJackets were not done in the inning, as Logan Baldwin knocked in Orlando Garcia from second base with two-outs. This was four runs in the inning, which gave the GreenJackets a 7-1 lead.
The Legends would go on to add three more runs over the remainder of the game, but that was not enough. The GreenJackets won game two of the series, 7-4. Augusta will go for the sweep tomorrow against Lexington at 7:05 pm.
