- The Cyclones clobbered a franchise record six home runs to take down the BlueClaws on Tuesday night. Jeremy Vasquez began the barrage with a lead-off home run in the fourth inning, pushing Brooklyn’s lead to 4-1. Edgardo Fermin and Ronny Mauricio went back-to-back in the fifth and sixth innings, and Luis Gonzalez mashed a two run home run in the fifth.
- Francisco Alvarez’s two-out RBI single to center field in the first inning gave Brooklyn a 1-0 lead against Jersey Shore starter Jonathan Hughes. In the third with Brooklyn ahead 2-1, Alvarez drove in Ronny Mauricio with a second run-scoring single in the third inning.
- Jersey Shore’s Jhailyn Ortiz slammed a solo home run against Jaison Vilera in the second inning to tie the game 1-1. Ortiz has hit 12 home runs this month and leads Philadelphia minor leaguers with 19 long balls.
