Hello out there, we're on the air, it's Hockey DAY today!

Hockey Day at Sahlen Field returns Saturday, September 6, presented by LEGENDS, as the Bisons have once again partnered with our good friends down the street, the Buffalo Sabres, for a fun-filled afternoon as the Herd takes on the Syracuse Mets (1:05 p.m. | Gates Special Time: 11:30 a.m.)!

Lace up your sneakers, tape up your mitts and get to the ballpark for this 'scary good' event that will feature the last 3 Sabres 1st Round Draft Picks! Hockey Day at the ballpark will include a Zach Benson Ceremonial First Pitch as the Sabres forward joins the fun. Plus, the the ballpark gates will open early at 11:30 a.m. for a Sabres Prospects Autograph Session from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. that will include forward Konsta Helenius and defenseman Radim Mrtka along with forwards Anton Wahlberg and Matteo Costantini! Fans will be allowed one signed item per player (no photos) and participating players are subject to change (Helenius/Wahlberg in Line A, Mrtka/Costantini in Line B).

The Bisons team will once again wear their Black & Red ‘Hockey Day’ jerseys during the game, and there will be lucky seat Ticket Giveaways to the Sabres Opening Night game against the Rangers on October 9 … just 17 days after the conclusion of the Bisons season.. We'll have a visit from Buster's buddy, Sabretooth, as well as special pre-game activations from the Sabres.

Bisons 'Black & Red' Jerseys

In the words of superstar defensemen Rasmus Dahlin, it's time the Bisons got a bit EVIL on Hockey Day at the Ballpark.

In 2025, the Bisons players will once again be donning Black & Red Hockey Day Jerseys and Caps as a tribute to the Sabres popular alternate, retro look. Featuring our 'Hockey Day' standing bison logo across the front... updated in black and red, of course... this black jerseys features a grey-red-white stripe pattern on the sleeves as well as angled from the armpit down the flanks. Each sleeve also features a retro Bisons 'B' logo in red with a puck flying out from behind the letter... reminiscent of a Tage Thompson power play one-timer destined for the back of the net!

Accompanying the jersey is an all black cap with our Hockey Day standing Bison logo and a white-red-white horizontal stripes behind it.

Ceremonial First Pitch: Sabres F Alex Tuch

Can you say: Wooooooooooooooooooooooo! The Bisons are thrilled to have fan-favorite forward Alex Tuch at this year's Hockey Day at the Ballpark on September 7. A native of Syracuse and lifelong Sabres fan, Tuch will take the mound on Hockey Day to get festivities started! We are also thrilled to have top prospects Jiri Kulich, Isak Rosen & Noah Ostlund scheduled to appear for a Prospects Autograph Session from 11:30am-12:30pm on Hockey Day!

Get ready for the return on the Bisons Hockey Night at the ballpark, in collaboration with the Buffalo Sabres and presented by ADPRO Sports, Saturday, August 20 as the Herd hosts the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (6:05 p.m.).

Lace up your sneakers, tap up your mitts and get to the ballpark for this 'scary good' event! The Bisons players will once again wear Custom Hockey Night Sweaters....er Jerseys during the game, that will be autographed by the players after the game. We'll have a Jersey Auction of select players before the event (completed) and a Jersey Raffle of more than 20 of the jerseys at the game, with net proceeds to benefit the Sabres Foundation!

PARTY IN THE USA!!!... Sabres Forward Jeff Skinner will have our Hockey Night Ceremonial First Pitch and Buster's friend, Sabretooth, will also be at the ballpark to meet with fans.
