BUFFALO, NY - This afternoon, Minor League Baseball announced that Buffalo Bisons INF Charles McAdoo has been named the International League Player of the Week for the week of August 3-9.

McAdoo becomes this third different Bisons’ hitter claim the weekly award this season after batting .464 (13-28) in six games against the Norfolk Tides last week. He hit a home run in four consecutive games, becoming the first player to accomplish the feat on the team in 2026.

The 24-year-old added 13 RBIs over the course of the week to increase his season total to a team best 57 in his first Triple-A season. His 13 total hits against Norfolk led the Herd’s offense which batted .315 as a team last week.

He recorded a multi-hit performance in all six games of the series to conclude the series riding a seven-game hitting streak dating back to August 1 at Lehigh Valley. McAdoo is batting .438 (14-32) this month, helping him improve hit batting average by 18 points to .269 overall.

McAdoo’s two-run home run on Saturday night proved to drive in the winning run in the Bisons 10-8 victory over Norfolk, helping the team win four of the six games at Sahlen Field last week.

The Walnut Creek, CA native leads the team in home runs with 16 and is one of just two active players on the team with 10 or more this season. He ranks second on the team with 89 hits in 89 games this year, while adding a team best 12 stolen bases among qualified batters.

McAdoo is the third player since the 2024 campaign to homer in four consecutive games. He joins OF Will Robertson, who accomplished the feat between May 25-29(2), 2025, as well as INF Gabriel Cancel, who hit home runs in four straight games from June 29-July 2, 2024.

The Bisons travel to Worcester, MA for a six-game series against the Worcester Red Sox beginning on Tuesday night at 6:45 p.m.
