Kernels Announce 2023 Opening Day Roster

Cedar Rapids, IA – The Cedar Rapids Kernels have announced the Opening Day roster for the 2023 season. The roster includes 16 pitchers: Malik Barrington, Jordan Carr, Regi Grace, Alejandro Hidalgo, Kyle Jones, Matt Mullenbach, Charlie Neuweiler, Jaylen Nowlin, Pierson Ohl, Connor Prielipp, Niklas Rimmel, Miguel Rodriguez, Orlando Rodriguez, John

Cedar Rapids, IA – The Cedar Rapids Kernels have announced the Opening Day roster for the 2023 season.

The roster includes 16 pitchers: Malik Barrington, Jordan Carr, Regi Grace, Alejandro Hidalgo, Kyle Jones, Matt Mullenbach, Charlie Neuweiler, Jaylen Nowlin, Pierson Ohl, Connor Prielipp, Niklas Rimmel, Miguel Rodriguez, Orlando Rodriguez, John Stankiewicz, Matthew Swain, John Wilson. 

Three catchers: Noah Cardenas, Charles Mack, Jeferson Morales.

Six infielders: Keoni Cavaco, Noah Miller, Ben Ross, Jose Salas, Tanner Schobel, Ernie Yake.

Five outfielders: Kyler Fedko, Willie Joe Garry Jr., Emmanuel Rodriguez, Kala’I Rosario, Misael Urbina. 

In total, 12 members of last season’s roster will return to Veterans Memorial Stadium, while 18 players will make their debuts in Cedar Rapids in 2023. 

The Kernels Opening Night for 2023 is Tuesday, April 11th at 6:35 PM vs. Quad Cities. Single-game tickets are on sale now.
